We have heard about character crossovers and shared universes. But, now it seems like Disney is doing a talent crossover backstage. As it turns out, Marvel’s Kevin Feige is going to develop a Star Wars movie for Disney and rumors say that Captain Marvel star Brie Larson will appear in the leading role.
It was on Wednesday that Feige announced that he will be teaming up with Kathleen Kennedy on a new Star Wars movie. Though Larson has officially not confirmed on any of the rumors, fans have reasons to believe that Feige is eyeing her for a role. Recently, the actress got invited to the opening of Stars Wars Galaxy Edge in Disneyland. Moreover, she also seems to be talking a lot about the franchise lately.
If that doesn’t make you suspicious enough, Feige himself has admitted that there will be a “major actor” appearing for his Star Wars movie. Given that the Marvel movies are chartbusters at the moment, it’s fair to speculate that the director will pull out a top name from his cinematic universe, and chances of it being Captian Marvel is really high. Though her fans of Larson’s are totally on board with the idea, her critics are not happy with it.

After the release of Captain Marvel, Larson became more popular among casual moviegoers. The movie was the 21st entry into the MCU and has Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Dimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, and Lashana Lynch with Larson. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the movie grossed over a billion dollars at the box office and become one of the highest-earning comic book movies of all time.
However, if Feige is thinking to go for another big name who has not yet to appear in the MCU, then fans are cheering John Wick star Keanu Reeves. Only time will tell whether Fiegie will make the right decision in casting and work his magic again on another franchise. Tell then, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and wait.
