Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey has been signed for a new thriller from Johnny Martin – Alone. The movie will also star Donald Sutherland alongside Posey in the lead role, Deadline confirmed.
Sutherland is known for his role in The Hunger Games franchise as President Snow. He recently also starred in Brad Pitt led cosmic thriller Ad Astra. Sutherland’s other credits include Lolita and Buck White.
The plot follows the life of Aidan(Posey) who locks himself in his apartment to protect his life from infected screamers infesting the complex. Amidst the chaos Aidan discovers that a young girl (Summer Spiro) in a house across his courtyard is also trapped and now must find a way out for both of them.
The story naturally unfolds into a tantalizing romance between the two youngsters together in times of danger.
Alone is written by Matt Naylor and financed by HIG Productions. Martin in addition to helming the movie is also co-producing alongside Rabih Aridi and Anne Jordan.
Malaysian actress Maya Karin also has a brief role in the film as that of a scientist who understands the virus infecting the screamers. The actress confirmed her onboarding earlier in July when she flew to LA for the short scene.
The film began shooting in May this year and i currently in the post production phase.
