If you are like me then you might probably have dozens of movies added to your Netflix watch list. But then sometimes I don’t find them there, and then I have to search the internet to find out that they were removed from the streaming platform. And that’s just sad!

I wish that just like Netflix provides us with a list of “Coming soon”, it needs to have a list of “Going soon”, it will just make life easier. But until then you can refer to articles like this one.

The streaming giant will be saying goodbye to the below-mentioned titles in May 2021, and we are sharing our pick of 10 movies that you should stream before they leave Netflix.

The One I Love (2014)

This film falls in the category of rom-com thriller. Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass are starring as a married couple with relationship woes. Their relationship is on the brink of collapsing when they decide to go on a weekend getaway. However, during the getaway, they encounter unusual troubles which further complicates their situation.

Quartet (2012)

This is a comedy-drama film based on the play Quartet by Ronald Harwood. At a British retirement home for musicians, things stir up at the arrival of a once-popular opera diva. The residents’ musicians of the home, revive their glory days once a year for a benefit concert, but this time things get sour as old heartbreaks and rivalries resurface, with the presence of the legendary diva.

Cake (2018)

In this Pakistani comedy-drama film, we witness a family dealing with love, loss, and life and death. It is about two sisters, one of whom is taking care of her old parents, and the other who lives abroad. The two of them reconnect when their parents’ health worsens, which creates conflicts and tensions.

Trumbo (2015)

This is a biographical drama film starring Bryan Cranston as the successful 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. Trumbo’s career abruptly ends when he is blacklisted from Hollywood for his political views. It has a great supporting cast which makes it even more lively. 

Moonlight (2016)

It is an American coming-of-age drama film, about an African-American boy growing up in Miami. We follow the boy’s life journey to adulthood, his everyday struggles as he copes with his identity and sexuality.

My Week with Marilyn (2011)

This movie focuses on a specific moment of Marilyn Monroe’s career, the making of the 1957 film “The Prince and the Showgirl” where she was teamed with Laurence Olivier. During the production, a member of the film’s crew Colin Clark grew close to Monroe, and we get to see a unique perspective on the actress’s life through his lens.

The Help (2011)

The period drama film is based on Kathryn Stockett’s 2009 novel of the same name. In 1960s Mississippi, an aspiring author decides to write a book on African-American maids’ daily struggles and their point of view on the white families for which they work.

Julie & Julia (2009)

This film is based on a true story. It follows the lives of two women who share a love for food and cooking. Julie Powell is a New York-based blogger, who challenges herself to cook all 524 recipes in the popular book by Julia Child. We get to see the story of Child’s start in the cooking profession and the challenges Julie faces to emulate Child’s cooking techniques.

Milk (2008)

This is a biopic about Harvey Milk, who becomes the first openly gay person to be elected to political office in California. Milk was an American activist and faced several difficulties while fighting for gay rights and winning a seat in the public office.

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

This movie is based on the true story of Chris Gardner, a man who in the face of extreme despair, refuses to quit. Chris is a homeless salesman and a single parent, who struggles to find work and raise his 5-year-old son.
