Directed by Melina Matsoukas, Queen & Slim tells the story of two individuals who meet on a first date. While returning, they are pulled over by an overzealous white police officer, who becomes violent with them. Retaliating, Slim grabs the officer’s gun and shoots him. Now, both of them are on the run to save their lives.
