Marking her feature directorial debut, the Young Sheldon director Jude Weng tells the story of two Brooklyn-raised siblings who find a journal that contains the secret to a long-lost treasure. 12-year-old Pilialoha “Pili” Kawena is taken away from her New York life and is forced to move to O’ahu to take care of her grandfather. What she did not know was that a whole adventure awaited her there and it is to help her discover her native culture and the secret treasure.
