Remember Boo from Monsters Inc? Who doesn’t? Well, there are Speculations doing rounds that Boo could possibly be in more than one Pixar movie.
According to a theory Boo transforms to become Violet in The Incredibles. Besides the fact that both characters look similar, there is solid evidence to support this claim. Remember in Monsters Inc when Sully throws Boo behind a door and when Sully turns around Boo is right in front of her? It could well mean that Boo had developed her powers at an early age. Another fact that plays in favor of this claim are the fact that Violet’s powers work when she is really happy and mitigate when she works under pressure.
You are probably wondering Boo might be going through the same process Jack Jack went through before fully gaining his powers. But Boo is older and that negates that possibility. But we cannot deny that she went through the same stage of developing powers when she was young.
But then what explains Boo’s real name- Mary? This clearly means she cannot be the Violet from Incredibles. However, Dash was called that before anyone was aware of his superpowers. Mary could have been her name but it was changed later as a part of the protection program. When they knew what her real powers were or when they relocated.
Boo makes a brief appearance in Toy Story 3 at the daycare center with a blue cat. She surely remembers Sully or has been in touch with her the whole time. If you recall the ending scene of Monsters Inc, has Sully reconstructing the door and is happy once he opens it. This clearly points out that he is the one who found Boo. This points in the direction of steady contact.
This also validates the theory about Monsters Inc being set in the future. Considering Boo was able to travel to the future through the door Sully constructed, she has deep knowledge of time travel. This only makes her more futuristic for the age she belongs to.
