Marvel has already made a strong statement by letting its women fight the biggest war alongside its men. But people really want Marvel to be explicit in their support to the LGBTQ community as well. Fans have come up with a sizzling theory of Captain Marvel romancing the Valkyrie in the upcoming movies.
Valkyrie is the first openly bisexual hero of the Marvel universe. But until yet, this has not been made evident in any of the movies. Now that Endgame officially upstaged her as the new ruler of Asgard, fans cannot wait to know more about her life.
There is strong proof about Tessa’s character being bisexual in the comics. But the comic’s version of Valkyrie finds her love interest in Annabelle Riggs. Captain Marvel’s sexuality has however been kept under wraps until now. The comic book version of Captain Denvers is straight. But there also exists a gay version of the character.
Both Larson and Thompson, however, do not mind setting screens on fire with their romance.
In a recent interview during ACE comic con, Chicago they were quite supportive of the idea.
Brie said “We’re here to ship, ya’ll! We can dig into it, I’m just telling you we’re shipping,”. While Tessa backed Larson by adding “Brie is my real-life queen, in general. If it becomes canon, that’s cool, too.”
Both actors share a great friendship offscreen.
Brie even tweeted a fan art last march which showcased their Marvel characters in a romantic embrace.

And a few days later, Tessa Thompson returned the gesture.
Oh wow. @brielarson we back https://t.co/Vr1ZAhBTkt

This is not the first speculation around Valkyrie’s love interest. There has been much buzz regarding the probable lady love of Asgard’s new ruler.
A few days earlier Jamie Alexander’s Lady Sif had volunteered to be the queen.
A few think Jane Foster’s return in Thor: Love and Thunder could probably be a new chapter in valkyrie’s life. Looks like we have many Marvel women crushing over the female warrior.
It is too early to decide if Captain Marvel and Valkyrie will be portrayed as a couple given their crucial roles in two separate movies. The realization of this theory will need a strong and convincing narrative that resonates with the audience. And fans can sure afford to be wrong about theories, but not being disappointed with the script.
