Little Shop of Horrors
Not a clear-cut alien movie, but, it has enough spooks to make it out of this world. While working in a flower shop in urban Skid Row, nerdy orphan Seymour Krelborn develops feelings for his fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard. She is berated every day by the owner of the shop Mr. Mushnik. Hoping to turn his luck around and get a more stable life of his own, Seymour decides to test his luck in the floral business and ends up purchasing a bloodthirsty plant from a Chinese Street Vendor.
Fantastic Planet
This movie takes us to a far off planet named Ygam. The dominant species of the planet are the Draags. They are a group of blue humanoids who are extremely advanced in both technology and spirituality. Oms, on the other hand, are considerably tiny and the descendants of the humans from the Terra planet. They are considered ignorant animals. Most of them are kept for the entertainment of Draag children, while others lead a hidden life in the wilderness of the planet.
Lifeforce
A space team exploring Halley’s Comet encounters an alien spacecraft with space vampires. They return back to earth and start turning other human beings into zombies. Tom Carlsen, one of the surviving astronauts from the space team realizes what was going on and steps in to get rid of the troubling alien presence.
Destroy All Monsters
Monsters of the world are rounded up and kept away from humanity in a separate area called Monsterland. A race of she-aliens comes to know about this and frees all the monsters across the world. Now, it is up to scientists to save the world from monsters like Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and many more.

A greedy tycoon is trying to build a new skyscraper and he is using criminal methods to evacuate the current residence of the soon to be demolished block of apartments. It was doing this time that some tiny mechanical aliens landed there to recharge. Seeing the turn of events and the injustice happening, they decided to stay a little longer and help the people out.
Critters 2
Inhabitants of the Grover’s Bend mistake a batch of unhatched critter eggs as Easter eggs. As the eggs start to hatch, it starts a rampage by the flesh-eating furry creatures from outer space. The horror, comedy movie features Scott Grimes and Liane Curtis and is a wonderful watch if you are a fan of the goofy movies of the late 80s.
Alien
Any list on the genre of alien movies will not be complete without the iconic, cult classic movie Alien. Set in the future, the movie starts with a commercial spaceship picking up a distress signal from a distant planet. A three-member team discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs and a creature from one of the eggs starts to attack them. With an alien parasite planted inside one of the team members, the fate of the entire crew is at stake.
Galaxy Quest
Space shows were a huge deal back in the 1980s. This movie starts off as a parody of those shows and later move on to some serious intergalactic business. Jason Nesmith is the star of a space-themed television series. He and his other cast members are mistaken as actual space heroes and are taken by a group of alien life forms to save them from an invading menace.
