Shouko Nishimiya is the new girl in school and is bullied by Shouya Ishida for being deaf. However, as the teasing continued the rest of the class turned against Shouya due to his lack of compassion. Shouko and Shouya do not speak to each other again for the rest of elementary school. When Shouya became older and wiser, he gets tormented by his past wrongdoings. So, he is off to see Shouka once again to atone for his sins. But, is it too late?

Takao is training to become a shoemaker. While he was sketching shoes in a Japanese-style garden, he meets a mysterious woman named Yukino. From there, the two start to see each other again and again, but only on rainy days. Their relationship soon deepens and they open up to each other. However, with the end of the rainy season soon coming to an end, will their relationship also fade away.
