Hugo (2011)
A quirky ride power packed for younger groups of audiences is what Hugo is at large. The tale speaks of Hugo, an orphan who loses his father in a fire. While there is nothing particularly concerning or even alarming about the film, the tone adopted in the film by Sasha Baron Cohen’s character where she speaks of pregnancy and infidelity may have upset a few sections.
Minions (2015)
You know how kids’ movies are. They are silly, filled with humor and a simple narrative easy for the little ones to understand. But when critics got sight of Minions, they instantly hated the movie. Why? Because critics are all adults and not kids. Though the Despicable Me spin-off initially got only a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it went on to earn a global box office haul of over $1 billion.
The Terminal (2004)
Tom Hanks is not the guy you want to travel with. This time he is not stuck on an island. He is stuck at the airport. Viktor Navorski lost his country for some political reasons. But, the problem is he was on the plane when this whole thing happened. Now, he’s stranded at Kennedy Airport with a passport that nobody recognizes.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
Even though this is a remake of the original 1947 film, this has a following of its own. Kris Kringle is the acting Santa at Cole’s Department Store in New York. His mission is to bring a little holiday magic to the children he meets. Eventually, everyone starts to think that he is the real Santa Claus. This heartwarming film will surely make your holiday season special.
The Meg (2018)
There is no doubt that The Meg was nothing more than an ultra-budget B-movie with Jason Statham in the lead role. Critics and domestic audiences hated the movie for its hollow theme and crappy plot. However, things were a little different for the Chinese audience. The movie became a blockbuster in China, grossing over $500 million at the worldwide box office.
Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005)
This whimsical space adventure has two brothers (aged 6 and 10) put aside their conflicts embark on a journey that will have them facing off against infuriated extra-terrestrial beasts. However, this movie is an absolute No-No if you despise foul language though!
